How to wash a tote bag, step by step
- Empty the bag. Remove all items from the bag before cleaning.
- Pretreat stains. Apply stain remover to any visible stains.
- Mix the cleaning solution. Combine warm water with laundry detergent.
- Clean the bag. Use a terry washcloth or a soft bristle brush to clean the bag.
- Air dry. Let the bag air dry.
Good to know before you clean
Our tote bags are made from 100% polyester with a non-woven laminate lining inside and cotton webbing handles. The all-over print is applied by dye sublimation and does not fade.
Can you wash a tote bag?
Yes. Our care instructions describe cleaning the bag with warm water, laundry detergent and a terry washcloth or soft bristle brush, followed by air drying.
Can you put a tote bag in the washing machine?
Our care instructions do not include machine washing, so follow the steps above.
